My Religion

I am
very thankful to
for choosing Islam as my religion. I see Islam as more than just a religion but
as the way of life. The way of life prescribed by our Creator. Its a pity that
most of us don't give our religion its due importance and keep ourselves busy in
worldly matters only. We should devote reasonable time to understanding
our religion because its very important. I often refer
to The holy Quran and try to absorb its instructions. The Book is definitely an
eye-opener. The copy of Quran
that I have was brought by my father from Saudi Arabia when he went there to
perform Hajj in 1999. It is a lovely copy and I take its accompanying tafseer to
be very accurate. I start from any random page and go on reading the tafseer.
When I do so, time always passes by very quickly.
Other books which I read either pertain to 'Seerat-un-Nabi', 'Sahaba' or 'Hadith'. I am not a very learned person in this field but strive to get as much guidance from my religion as possible. I also have complete Quran on a CD. This is a remarkable CD as you can search any ayat or topic and can listen to any verse with Urdu translation in a second. This CD also contains the six most authentic Hadith books complete with all their volumes. This CD is a must-have for today's Muslims.
