My Family & Me
I have the smallest family
possible, comprising me and my parents only. Just three of us! This is a rare
combination. Very rare! We have to live like this anyway. When I was a kid, I
often felt alone playing amongst children, who always had one or more brothers
or sisters to accompany them. As I grew up, I gradually adapted myself to the
situation and strived to utilize my loneliness to benefit. My being alone has
had a very profound impact on my personality. It is due to this that I am very
different form common individuals. How? Let me explain!
Since mostly I spend any spare time with myself only, I often think a lot. This habit of thinking along with my good education and parents' attention has matured me into a caring, humble and composed individual-of-principle. I have thought on almost every imaginable topic, ranging from the matters of common human being to the ever-mind-boggling 'Taqdeer or Tadbeer' question and to the complexities of theoretical physics. (Theoretical physics is the study in which we think stuff like what would happen if we reach the speed of light or what if we reach a black-hole) I believe its this habit of thinking which guided me towards the Almighty. This topic needs a bit of explanation:
After my Intermediate exams, I had really nothing to do. So I did nothing :) but thought about some very important questions like: "Am I a Muslim just because I am born in a Muslim family?", "What if I was born in a Hindu/Christian family?", "Which religion is the true one?", "What happens when one dies?", "Why are we on this planet?" etc. I really loved to think about these questions. Initially I had very tough time to figure out the answers but I did not lose hope and eventually found answers to almost every question. For your liking I have included these questions and answers on a separate page.
How many boys do we find around who ever spend any time thinking about their after-life and their duties to their fellow people and the Creator? How many do we see refraining from bad/filthy language, cigarettes and cheap activities? Not many !
I think this is quite enough about me for the moment. Now some talk about my parents: Father is a military officer in PAF. He is not a fighter pilot but for a long period of time he has served as an Air Traffic Controller. Have you seen/heard about the Control Tower on an airport? People inside the control tower are Air traffic Controllers. It is these controllers who manage the aircraft right from the instant the pilots sit inside the cockpits, during the time they are in the air and till they return back. The job includes giving/denying permissions to aircraft for take-off or land and managing several aircraft simultaneously and safely. My father has always done this job with 'flying colors' :) As he got senior he was given jobs involving command and management of personnel in which he was equally successful.
Due to the tense border-situation, currently my father is at PAF Base Nawabshah, serving as a senior personnel manager (Officer In charge Personnel Squadron). PAF Base Nawabshah is not one of the regular bases of PAF but is one of those which get activated when there is some chance of war. At present all the three armed forces of Pakistan are deployed on war-time positions. So is my father, and I am damn proud of him.
Mother is a very simple, ultra-tolerant and ultra-kind woman. She has always done so much for me. Its due to her that I have been able to do new things in life. She understands and believes in me much more than father does and never stops me from doing what I like, unless it is way too risky or bad. (I seldom do any such thing) :) She has always provided me and my father with the best of comfort and care in even the harshest of conditions like the freezing temperatures of Islamabad or the blazing heat of Risalpur. (Islamabad and Risalpur are just two of the several PAF Bases where we have lived)
Now lets have a look at my Education :
